Professor Andrew Drakeley joins CCL as Fertility Consultant

Professor Andrew Drakeley has joined CCL as a Fertility Consultant to provide advice and guidance on our work in reproductive medicine. He is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in reproductive medicine in North West England, where he maintains a full-time NHS commitment.

In 2021, he was appointed honorary clinical Associate Professor to the University of Liverpool, is a visiting Professor to Guadalajara University, Mexico and has been an honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer to Edge Hill University since 2017. He is currently the Cheshire and Merseyside Gynaecology clinical lead, and North West England 'getting it right first time' (GIRFT) gynaecology speciality lead.

Andrew has contributed to national and international education and guideline development, having been the Vice Chair of the RCOG subspecialty committee (2020-23), is an approved trainer for ESHRE/EBCOG reproductive medicine training, co-authored the RCOG ovarian hyperstimulation guideline, ESHRE 'MAR for viral diseases' guideline and RCOG scientific opinion paper on expanded carrier screening.

He is a co-founder of IVT 2.0 a company that develops artificial intelligence-based fertility solutions and Horizon Fertility - fertility testing and advice to sub fertile couples.
